He's sold well over four million albums worldwide. Now, trumpeter — and New Yorker — Chris Botti is playing his 18th holiday residence at the legendary Blue Note jazz club.

The Grammy winner joined "News All Day" to talk more about his career and the current show.

Botti says he's performing 56 shows over 28 nights, including Christmas and New Year's Eve.

He says when he first started he played wherever he could, including in the streets and on the subways. Now, he's grateful to have had the opportunity to work with legends and travel around the world.

His next album, set to be called "Time On My Hands," is produced by David Foster and scheduled to come out next June.

Tickets for the holiday shows are available at BlueNoteJazz.com/NYC.
