This week's Picture Perfect Pets for Adoption are from the Carolina Boxer Rescue:

Georgia (pictured above)

Hi all, its me Georgia! Foster Mom says I must be getting a bad rap. Can you believe there is no one on my adopter list? It's true, I have some issues, but no one is perfect. I really am a great dog. I have mastered sit and feeding time is my favorite part of the day. Foster Mom is happy with my current size, but I may need to start watching my waistline! I've learned about toys and discovered that I love them and I love tearing them apart! I still have the leash reactivity and need a harness when walking. Some may call me a bit lazy, so if you had a fenced in yard, I could play back there and you wouldn't have to worry about the walks! I would probably do best as an only dog at first and then can be introduced to friends slowly. I live with a giant pup here and I adore him. We play and romp together all day so I know I can get along with others. I am a very relaxed girl indoors and would be a great companion for just about anyone. I am a gentle soul, with super soft fur, and a huge heart for people that love me. I do not have demanding requirements at all. All I really want is to snuggle with you in my forever home. Plus, look at my adorable face, how can you say no?

Belinda

I have a little story to tell you. When I came to my foster home over a month ago. Its true . I was a mess. I had injuries on my neck from the chain I lived on . I was filthy . I had an infection on my belly from the filth I lived in. I was very depressed . I pretty much just laidwith my head buried deep so i wouldn't have to look at anyone.  I over heard foster dad say he didn't think i was going to make it. . I decided i was and i began to fight to come around. The fosters they cleaned me up and gave me love and medicine .now That's all behind me. It is true I still like to have me time . I don't need to follow someone around constantly. But I do like to play from time to time .now foster dad said he can actually see me smile . I love to smile . I am an independent women but if you have other fur babies I'm fine with that too.  If you need a mellow girl to lay around with . I'm your girl . Come and get me!

Vinny

Vinny was picked up as a stray, so we have no history on him. He’s got some pretty strong fear issues with just about everyone other than foster mom and dad. We have been working tirelessly to help him overcome this “stranger danger”. He still has a long way to go, but we’re pleased with the way he’s improved. We are currently working with a Dog Psychology Expert to help Vinny become a calm and balanced dog.

We suspect that he is still very young, around 2 years old. Other than a recent treatment for whip worms he appears to be very healthy, physically. At home he is a happy, wiggly, silly, playful boy. He loves to snuggle, loves belly rubs and most of all, loves his people. Even though Vinny is completely housebroken, he must be crated when left alone. Boredom often sets in and when you return home, you may find he has done some re-decorating. He listens to HGTV all day. Perhaps that’s where he’s getting these creative ideas!
Vinny’s adopter will have to be someone who is calm, but assertive, and is willing to continue working with him. He’ll need plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation and patience. He’s not one of those dogs who would be “perfect for anyone”, but there is no doubt that a very special someone will come along someday and fall in love with him.
