It's a chilly start to this work week as northerly winds continue to usher colder air from the north into the Lone Star State.  Look for sunshine this afternoon and highs in the mid to upper 50.  Northerly winds will gradually diminish to less than 10 mph this afternoon.

With winds becoming calm tonight, temperatures will drop quickly.  Outlying areas will drop below freezing and some valley locations will drop into the mid and upper 20s under clear skies.

Tuesday will remain chilly under sunny skies.  Highs will reach the low 60s.

We'll get right back to a warmer than normal weather pattern toward the end of the week with highs reaching the upper 70s to near 80 Thursday, Friday and Saturday  No rain is in the forecast next week, but a weak Pacific front may produce a brief shower Saturday.  Behind the front, temperatures will be a little cooler Sunday with highs in the low 70s.
