The air mass over South Central Texas is slowly modifying. Temperatures have risen about five degrees and after being stuck in the upper 40s the last few days. Highs will likely rise to the upper 50s Wednesday. Some showers are still expected but overall rain amounts should remain light locally.

New upper disturbances are forecast to pass over the area Wednesday night into Thursday and the chance of rain rises again for the rest of the week. The air continues to modify and we’ll see 60s and low 70s heading into the weekend.

A weak cold front approaches on Saturday, but current forecasts show that boundary stalling just north of the area. Rain chances remain high however with some heavy amounts still possible. Flooding will remain a concern until we get an extended dry spell, perhaps starting next week.

More details are in the Seven Day Forecast.
