It’s a common wintertime pattern for Texas; a relatively thin layer of cold air at the surface overrun by warm moist air and a southwest flow aloft.  This means rainy and cold weather will persist for a few more days. As upper-level impulses pass overhead, we’ll see widespread showers and a few thunderstorms producing some potentially heavy rain through Wednesday.

Temperatures will likely stay nearly steady through the period with highs stuck in the low 50s and lows in the middle and upper 40s. The wind chill factor is back with “feels like” temperatures as low as the middle 30s. Jackets will be necessary for the next few days as we are not expected to rise above 60 degrees until Thursday.

The chance of rain stays high through the end of the week but somewhat warmer temperatures are expected for the weekend.

More details are in the Seven Day Forecast.
