A weak cold front was working across Texas early Monday. A head of that boundary, some fog and sprinkles started the day for much of South Texas.

That front is more wind shift line than cold blast, so through Monday afternoon, we’ll see some northeast winds and cloudy skies. Highs Monday will reach the middle 60s but some low 70s are possible to the west of San Antonio where clouds will be thinner. The chance of rain holds at 20% or less.

Some clouds begin Tuesday, but clearing should bring sunshine to the region by afternoon. After morning lows in the 50s, Tuesday highs will reach the middle 70s.

High pressure aloft will start a significant warming trend starting Wednesday. A surface winds turn south, we’ll see partly cloudy skies and afternoon highs in the 80s to near 90 by Friday. At that time another strong cold front enters the picture with some storms and cooler temperatures to start the weekend.
