The transition to a moist airmass has begun with increasing south winds. Expect low clouds to move across South Texas this morning, resulting in warmer temperatures early Thursday. After morning lows in the 50s, clouds will keep highs in the middle 70s.

Mostly cloudy skies prevail Thursday afternoon with a slight chance of a few light showers east of the I-35 corridor. Any rain will be very light with only a few location receiving measurable amounts.

After a much warmer overnight with lows in the 60s, Friday features highs into the middle 80s. Early in the day, mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers result from a passing upper disturbance. By afternoon Friday, west winds develop behind the exiting impulse, clearing skies and sending temperatures into the middle 80s

Moisture returns quickly returns to the region by Saturday .This overall pattern continues through the weekend as a series of weak upper-level disturbances pass over Texas. A slightly increased chance of showers is expected Sunday.
