Wednesday will be a picture-perfect early Fall day across the region. With a few high clouds drifting by overhead, high temperatures should reach the low 70s Wednesday afternoon.

The transition to a moist airmass begins Wednesday night with increasing south winds. Expect low clouds to move across South Texas by Thursday morning. This will result in warmer temperatures overnight and early Thursday and a few sprinkles are also possible.

Mostly cloudy skies prevail Thursday with a slight chance of a few light showers east of the I-35 corridor. Highs will stay in the low and middle 70s.

After a much warmer overnight with lows near 60, Friday features highs into the middle 80s, mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers. This overall pattern continues through the weekend as a series of weak upper-level disturbances pass over Texas. A slightly increased chance of showers is expected Sunday.
