Wednesday started clear and cool across South Central Texas. Morning temperatures fell to just below 50, marking another morning of the coolest readings since late April, about six months ago.

Light winds and sunny skies will warm up quickly this afternoon, with temperatures rising 6-8 degrees per hour through the morning. Look for highs to reach the low 80s most places but a little cooler in the Hill Country

Thursday morning will be about ten degrees warmer as light south winds develop over the region.  The southerly flow brings Gulf moisture back to the area. A passing upper disturbance may bring some showers to the Coastal Bend with a few making it to the I-35 corridor. Look for a slight chance of rain both Thursday and Friday with highs in the middle 80s.

This weekend could see some scattered showers and then another strong front on Sunday with a chance of thunderstorms. More details in the 7 Day Forecast.
