Tuesday started clear and cool across South Central Texas. Morning temperatures fell to near and just below 50, marking the coolest readings since late April, about six months ago.

Light winds and sunny skies will warm up quickly this afternoon, with temperatures rising 6-8 degrees per hour through the morning. Look for highs to reach near 80 most places but a little cooler in the Hill Country

Tuesday night and Wednesday morning will again dip to near 50 with clear skies and light winds. By Thursday, southerly flow returns to bring Gulf moisture back to the region. We’ll expect morning lows to rise to the 60s and afternoon highs to the middle 80s as we move to the weekend.

This weekend could see some scattered showers and then another strong front on Sunday with a chance of thunderstorms. More details in the 7 Day Forecast.
