Recek QB Rankings

Week Four

1- Julon Williams – Judson (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 9-12, 207 yards 3 TD’s. Rushing 182 yards 2 TD’s

2017 Season: Passing 37-55, 876 yards 11 TD’s. Rushing 613 yards 8 TD’s.

Big plays in the passing game is one of the biggest areas of improvement for Williams this year. He’s always been a weapon with his running ability, but he’s more of a true dual-threat QB this season.

Previous Rank: 1

2- Matthew Baldwin – Lake Travis (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 23-27, 299 yards 5 TD’s. Rushing 7 yards.

2017 Season: Passing 91-139, 1368 yards 17 TD’s. Rushing 67 yards 1 TD.

Baldwin carved up the Hendrickson defense last week with more touchdown passes than he had incompletions.

Previous Rank: 2

3- Chase Griffin – Hutto (Junior)

Last Week: Passing 23-29, 498 yards 4 TD’s. Rushing 61 yards 2 TD’s.

2017 Season: 83-124, 1,359 12 TD’s. Rushing 69 yards 2 TD’s.

Nobody had a better week than Griffin and he did most of his damage early on in the win over Connally. He even got to show off a little of the speed he’s been working on adding to his game.

Previous Rank: 5

4- Zadock Dinkelmann – Somerset (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 18-27, 169 yards. Rushing 1 TD.

2017 Season: Passing 44-76, 709 yards 5 TD’s. Rushing 1 TD.

It was a great start for Dinkelmann and the Bulldogs last Friday against Boerne, but they couldn’t hold on to a big lead and couldn’t score late when they needed to.

5- Roel Sanchez – O’Connor (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 10-15, 166 yards 2 TD’s. Rushing 52 yards.

2017 Season: Passing 45-72, 741 yards 11 TD’s. Rushing 348 yards, 6 TD’s.

Not the biggest statistical game for Sanchez last Satuday, but he leads O’Connor to another win.

Previous Rank: 4

6- Mak Sexton – Cedar Park (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 19-32, 269 yards 5 TD’s.  Rushing 42 yards.

2017 Season: Passing 92-129, 990 yards 13 TD’s. Rushing 96 yards 1 TD.

Sexton deserved a move up after three straight great games. He’s turned this Cedar Park offense into one with a dynamic passing attack.

Previous Rank: 7

7- Davis Brin – Champion (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 13-32, 211 1 TD. Rushing 13 yards

2017 Season: Passing 71-137, 82 yards 9 TD’s. Rushing 59 yards.

It was a tough night for Brin and the Chargers at Medina Valley, a lot is asked of Brin and Champion will need him to make the playoffs in a tough district.

2017 Season: Passing 81-138, 883 yards 8 TD’s. Rushing 339 yards 4 TD’s.

MacArthur’s record isn’t great but they’ve played tough teams and Vitt has held his own against those teams.

Previous Rank: 8

9- Jojo Weeks – Wimberley (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 18-22, 178 yards.

2017 Season: Passing 71-104, 1,225 yards 11 TD’s. Rushing 97 yards 1 TD.

Not the huge numbers Weeks has been putting up all season, but very efficient performance by him leading Wimberley to a win over a good Canyon Lake team.

Previous Rank: 10

10- DJ Bolger – Hyde Park (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 6-17, 83 yards 1 TD. Rushing 139 yards 1 TD.

2017 Season: Passing 41-65, 527 yards 6 TD’s. Rushing 203 yards 2 TD’s.

Bolger didn’t have a big night passing, but his rushing numbers were the best of the season in a loss at Shiner St. Paul
