AUSTIN, Texas — Today marks the 19 year anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre. Students across Texas and the country have walked out of school to remember those lost and are calling on lawmakers to pass stricter laws on gun control.

April 20 has become a day where debate over marijuana laws light up. Minority leader Chuck Schumer said he will introduce a bill that would take marijuana off the federal list of controlled substances. Our Washington Correspondent Jeevan Vittal takes a closer look at what’s happening in Congress when it comes to cannabis and a new push to get pot decriminalized.

Funeral preparations are underway for the late Barbara Bush. The force behind the Bush family dynasty was known for her wit and her warmth, and no one else saw that like the people of Texas. As tributes across the nation continue to pour in for the former first lady, the public is getting its chance to say goodbye to the Bush family matriarch today.
