SAN ANTONIO — Democrats in House District 116 finding themselves in an uncomfortable position this primary election.

Voters have to decide whether to re-elect Rep. Diana Arevalo or welcome back Trey Martinez Fischer, who gave up his seat two years ago.

Arevalo said she is proud of what she's done during her two years in office, and there’s plenty more to do.

“One of my favorite accomplishments is definitely passing House Bill 1081, addressing the new instructional facility allotment fund," said Arevalo.

Her opponent is a familiar face - Trey Martinez Fischer.  He has 16 years in the House under his belt and wants to reclaim the district he voluntarily gave up to run against Jose Menéndez, which he lost.
