SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio’s north side had a major snow sighting on Saturday.

  • North Central Baptist Hospital Winterfest and Reindeer Run 5k
  • Snow ball fights, sledding and health fair
  • Spectrum News team members joined the fun

Thirty-thousand pounds of snow was piled outside North Central Baptist Hospital.

The frosty wonderland was part of the annual Winterfest and Reindeer Run 5-K in Stone Oak.

Families enjoyed snow ball fights, sledding, sweet treats and live entertainment outside.

Others stayed warm inside visiting the hospital's health fair.

"It all goes for a good cause. This year we chose San Antonio Threads as our beneficiary and they provide new clothing to teenagers who don't have new clothes to wear to school. So during the holiday season we feel really good about being able to give back," Wendy Nave said.

Several of the Spectrum News team members enjoyed meeting viewers and handing out goodies.
