TEXAS – A flash flood watch has been issued for several Central Texas counties as the threat for severe weather surfaces in the forecast for Friday.

A flash flood watch has been issued for the following counties:

  • Atascosa County
  • Bexar County
  • Blanco County
  • Comal County
  • Guadalupe County
  • Hays County
  • Kendall County
  • Medina County
  • Travis County
  • Williamson County
  • Wilson County

Thursday will be cloudy will rain in the morning and showers in the afternoon. The watch will remain in effect until 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 8. 

A polar cold front is expected to hit on Friday and bring the chance for hefty rain. The showers will start to ramp up Thursday night into Friday morning.
