SAN ANTONIO – IKEA has announced the date the Swedish chain will open its doors for the first time in San Antonio.

On February 13, 2019, the IKEA Live Oak location will officially open at 9 a.m. The store will be the company’s fifth location in Texas and 49th location nationwide.
“We are happy with the construction progress at the future Live Oak store, and are confident we will be ready to open our doors by February,” said Diedre Goodchild, IKEA store manager. “We look forward to recruiting and training the new co-workers joining the IKEA family, as well as sharing the IKEA experience with customers in the San Antonio area.”
The 289,000-square-foot store is located at the southwest corner of Interstate 35 and Loop 1604, 15 miles from downtown San Antonio.
More than 250 positions have been added to the store with many still available in sales, customer service, goods flow, receiving, warehouse, or stock replenishment. Apply here.
