TEXAS --The popular ride-sharing app, Lyft, is releasing a new multilingual update.

  • Phones set to Spanish can be used with Lyft
  • Users will receive notification update
  • Lyft provides Spanish-speaking customer service

Riders and drivers who have their phone set to Spanish will now be able to use Lyft in that language.

Plus, new users who have their web browser set to Spanish will now be able to apply to drive or sign up to ride in the language they are most comfortable with.

The latest update will roll out nationwide through the next few weeks.

Users will be alerted to the change with a notification on their phone, and from there, all alerts, directions, and messages inside and outside of the app will be in Spanish.

The new update comes a couple weeks after Lyft announced its commitment to rolling out at least one new feature or enhancement each month.

Lyft already provides Spanish-speaking customer service representatives.

Along with the multilingual update, Lyft is announcing enhancements that will provide drivers with additional information about airport wait times and pick-up destinations before accepting rides.
