According to a press release from police, an arrest warrant has been issued for 26-year-old Austin Taylor Meade of North Las Vegas, Nevada. He is being charged with first-degree felony murder. Bond for this warrant has already been set at $1 million.

Police say due to the nature of the charge, and his actions following the crash, Meade should be considered potentially armed and dangerous.

New Braunfels police tweeted that the crash happened at the intersection of County Line Road and Dove Crossing near the entrance of Fisher Park around 8 a.m.

Officers said Meade fled the scene of the crash. According to police, he held a nearby driver at knife-point and fled in her vehicle.

Police believe Meade may be wearing a black jacket, white T-shirt, and is possibly armed with a knife.

Meade is believed to be in a stolen silver 2012 Kia Forte with a pink sticker that says “On the Grind” on the back windshield. The Texas license plate is DT6-R476.

A portion of West County Line is currently closed as the investigation continues.
