FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas -- Calvin "CJ" Lehmann, a Fayette County Sheriff's Office Deputy, was released Saturday after being shot in the face during a standoff on November 1.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office said it's still unknown if Deputy Lehmann will be able to fully regain vision in his right eye.

He was shot in the face at the Carter Motel after trying to serve a warrant for a man who failed to register as a sex offender.

The father of three had been in critical condition since the shooting.

According to La Grange police, the suspect was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated assault on a public servant.
