HAYS COUNTY, Texas - A Hays County judge Thursday found that the 161 cats and 15 dogs confiscated from a home in Buda, Texas, were treated cruelly.

The animals were taken into custody on November 1 by the members of the Hays County Sheriff’s Department Animal Control Office. They have been housed at the San Marcos Animal Shelter since then.

The animals were turned over to the custody of the San Marcos Animal Shelter and will be adopted out. Those animals that are too sick to be adopted will be euthanized.
