SAN ANTONIO – One person is dead after driving the wrong way near I-10 and MLK early Sunday morning.

According to police, the driver was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-10 when the vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler head-on. Both the vehicle and the truck caught fire.

The wrong-way driver was dead when police arrived. The driver of the 18-wheeler had minor injuries.

The east and westbound lanes were closed for several hours.
