SAN ANTONIO – A man suspected of aggravated robbery attempted to evade police Friday morning. As a result, he caused a three-vehicle crash and broke his leg.

Earlier on Thursday, an aggravated robbery occurred at the McDonald’s on Ralph Flair and I-10. Bexar County Sheriff Office detectives identified the man and waited for him at his apartment.

Police attempted a traffic stop on the man when he left the apartment. The man tried to evade police, pulled over into an Applebee’s parking lot and then took off. He drove onto the access road and into an intersection where he clipped a car and t-boned another.

The man was arrested for warrants and evading.

He was transported to University Hospital with a broken leg and a female passenger was detained.

The driver who was t-boned suffered head, neck and back injuries and was taken to the hospital as well.
