KINGSLAND - As coverage continues of the flooding in Llano county, attention turnsnow to the clean-up in Kingsland, on the banks of lake LBJ.

Many homes had significant damage.

Homeowners like Lisa Sheets are trying to repair the damage and pick up the pieces.

She just remodeled her home in Kingsland about a month ago, now everything is destroyed and smears of mud run through every corner of her house.

Her family is helping her clean-up, but like many people around the area, flood insurance isn't an option and they can't imagine how high the bills will stack.

"I know that originally this house was not in the floodplain and right around the time that we bought it the floodplain was raised, but the flood insurance policies were unaffordable. At least unaffordable for my Mom's salary and income. I know she's put some money away for maybe a small flood here and there, but this was a magnitude beyond where water ever got historically," said her son Ben Lasseter.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help.
