SAN ANTONIO -- The American Red Cross is responding to flooding in the Llano area.

• Truck provides water, snacks, hygiene kits and cleaning kits
• Volunteers will also assist with cleanup when water recedes

There are already a few Central and South Texas offices providing relief to any of the families affected. The Greater San Antonio office has a truck filled with supplies and water on standby by to go help with flooding relief.

The emergency response vehicle will provide extra immediate relief for people affected and for emergency responders. Volunteers will provide water, snacks, hygiene kits and cleaning kits.

The truck will also carry supplies to assist with cleanup efforts once the water recedes.

"Once we access the needs of the community, we'll set up some shelters and provide food and whatever else that community needs. These emergency response vehicles are going to be the vehicles that you see in a myriad of disasters,” said Libby Castillo of the American Red Cross.
