SAN ANTONIO – A truck driver managed to escape a fire after his tractor-trailer went up in flames on the northbound U.S. 281 access ramp Monday afternoon.

Around 12:50 p.m. CT a tractor-trailer’s cab caught on fire, blocking the 281 access ramp from Mulberry Street. First responders are investigating the cause of the fire.

Police said the road re-opened shortly after 2 p.m. CT.
