SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting on the Far Northeast Side that took place Thursday afternoon.

According to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus, two teen boys were sitting in a driveway, when a car came up the street, with two or more people in it, and started shooting. The two boys ran away from the scene.

Police say the woman was in the bedroom of her home at the time of the shooting. She made her way outside and was found on the grass and was later pronounced deceased. She was 32 years old and was the mother of one of the two boys.

Police found the two teens and they are currently in custody. A girlfriend of one of the boys is also with police.

Police say they are looking for a gray sedan with purple ribbon around the car.

McManus says this was not a random event and it is still under investigation.
