BEXAR COUNTY, Texas -- Authorities said an inmate at the Bexar County Detention Center was discovered climbing into the ceiling.

Sunday around 11:30 a.m., a Bexar County Sheriff’s Detention Officer was conducting a routine observation shift when he saw Raz Andrew Morvin, 33, climbing into the ceiling from his jail cell in the Infirmary Unit.

A full facility lockdown was initiated. By 11:40 a.m., Members of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team put Morvin into physical restraints.

He had originally been booked in the Adult Detention Center two days prior for one count of DWI.

This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are forthcoming, according to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Johnny Garcia.
