KINGSBURY, Texas – A large brush fire in east Guadalupe County is now contained, according to the York Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Around 11 a.m. Monday, 13 different fire crews were called to the scene to fight the 100 acre fire.

The York County Volunteer Fire Department reported that the Kingsbury, York Creek, Sand Hills, Seguin, Geronimo, McQueeney, Marion, San Marcos, Luling, Schertz, New Braunfels, Gonzales County and New Berlin all have resources allocated to the fire. Approximately 60 people were involved.

The New Berlin Heavy Brush truck provided mutual aid as well as New Berlin Air One providing aerial support.
