SAN ANTONIO — The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided a K-9 school on the Northwest Side of San Antonio.

Earlier Wednesday morning, FBI agents, along with members of the San Antonio Police Department, raided Universal K9, a business that trains dogs for security purposes.

City Council member Manny Pelaez told Spectrum News the raid is part of a federal investigation into the business owner for possible fraud allegations.

More than 30 dogs were found in shipping containers modified as kennels. The animals removed from the property are now at Animal Care Services.

Several students at the school said that they were lied to about the legitimacy of the program and training certification.

"I am upset, I am angry. I can’t really curse on TV. I am beyond upset, especially to all of the veterans who worked so hard, they did their four years. They got honorably discharged so they could get their GI Bill. And for this guy to go over here and claim, ‘Hey, you guys come over here and we will certify you.’ He is just lying to everybody. There are so many veterans who have gone through this course and their certification is no longer valid," said Andres Torres, Universal K9 student.

The FBI released a statement saying they could not release details as to why they raided the school. They also said that there were no public safety threats and no arrests were made.

A truck, jet skis, and a luxury RV were seen being removed from the premises.
