HOUSTON – Houston authorities have captured a suspected serial killer, who was wanted in connection to three homicides.

Jose Gilberto Rodriguez, 46, led police on a chase, but they were finally able to catch him Tuesday morning. He was taken into custody at Eldrige and Fallbrook after being spotted in a grey Nissan.

Houston media is reporting the car possibly belonged to one of the slaying victims.

A manhunt had been underway for Rodriguez since Monday afternoon. The slayings were all in Harris County and the city of Houston.

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted that residents should review their security cameras and come forward with any information about Rodriguez’s activities.

Rodriguez faces charges for capital murder.
