SAN ANTONIO — The NAACP is in San Antonio this Saturday for its 109th convention.

The convention serves as a meeting ground for African Americans across the nation to discuss civil rights.

The conference's theme this year is "Defeat hate and Vote."

It'll include legal education seminars, youth workshops, federal legislative and public policy discussion, a hip-hop summit and diversity career fair.

The events start on Saturday and runs through Wednesday at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
