SAN ANTONIO — What happens when you combine San Antonio's 300th birthday with the World Cup?

To a team of lucky youth athletes, it means a trip to Spain to celebrate, compete and learn another country's culture, all while the World Cup countinues on.

Neil Hull of Players Academy of Soccer Skills takes a different group of players on a trip abroad each year. This year, Barcelona, Spain, was the choice. With San Antonio's 300th birthday and its deep roots with Spain, it was the best decision. Hull also added that Spain is a fantastic team.

For the girls, it's more than just soccer — it's about personal growth. Hull said he feels that the girls will take life skills, life learning lessons, be independent, grow as youth female ladies, and expand their knowledge of Europe along with meeting and working other cultures.
