BEXAR COUNTY, Texas -- The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on Friday reported it has received preliminary clearance letters from the Bexar County District Attorney connected to the Dec. 21, 2017, shooting incident in Schertz, Texas.

The letters will allow the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office to return the deputies involved to full-time active duty soon.

On Dec. 21, deputies shot and killed 30-year-old Amanda Lene Jones after, they said, she threatened them.

Six-year-old Kameron Prescott was killed after being struck by a stray bullet.

No gun was found on Jones or at the scene but a “tubular object” was located under the porch where Jones was shot.

Four deputies were involved in the shooting.
