SAN ANTONIO – A man was killed Thursday morning when he was gunned down on the West Side, according to San Antonio police.

Just after 7 a.m. on Chihuahua Street, near South Hamilton, a man in his 20s was shot once.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said he is unclear about why the shooting happened and that there are many unanswered questions.

“I make all these scenes if available. I try to make as many scenes as I can to try and keep perspective on why these things happen and get info from the scene as to who the person is [and] why it happened. It helps me keep prospective,” McManus said.

At this time, no arrests have been made.
