HOUSTON -- The challenge has been accepted and the game is set.
ABC talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will square off against Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, in a one-on-one basketball game to benefit two charities.
The game will take place Saturday, June 16 at Texas Southern University – Health & Physical Education Arena. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and the game starts at 5 p.m.
The two will play to 15 points with each basket counting as one point.

The game will benefit two Houston charities: Generation One and Texas Children’s Hospital.
Cruz challenged Kimmel to a charity match after the host mocked him, saying he “looked like a blobfish” in a tweeted photo.
