SAN ANTONIO — A body found Monday afternoon on the city's South Side has prompted an investigation by police.

Authorities were called to 1717 SAS Drive at about 1 p.m. for reports of a body found.

Police Chief William McManus said a concerned citizen from on of the surrounding businesses called police to alert them.

According to the Bexar County medical examiner said there are no apparent signs of foul play or injuries, but the official cause of death for his death is still pending.

The man was in his 30s, McManus said. It appeared that "he wasn't there for long" when police arrived to the scene, he said.
