NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — New Braunfels police are searching for a man they call the “brisket bandit,” who is accused of stealing about $400 worth of brisket.

According to police, on May 9 the man went to an H-E-B on Farm to Market Road 306 and walked out with seven beef briskets.

Then he raised the “steaks” and went back to the same H-E-B and stole an additional six briskets.

Police say they believe the man is in his 30s and drives a white Ford Expedition. In a Facebook post the department said it hopes someone can “steer us in the right direction. We’d like to meat him in person.”

Anyone with information about the identity of this suspect could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000. To submit any information, call 830-620-8477 or 1-800-640-8422. You may also submit information online at http://www.comalcrimestoppers.org.
