SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio is home to some of the best food you'll find in Texas, and next weekend is your chance to check out some of the best.

Culinaria Festival four days of events filled with beer, wine, champagne and food pairings from a variety of vendors. The best part? It's for a good cause. Proceeds from the event help to support local charity efforts. All events will be held at La Cantera Resort and Spa, and the food and wine festival runs May 17-20.

"I think that the festival itself really celebrates the confluence of culture found in San Antonio's food scene and really just celebrates all of the chefs and all of the great people that really contribute to that," Culinaria's Suzanne Taranto said.

Events include:

  • Bubbles, 7 p.m. May 17 — Openings night with champagne that's poolside and paired with light bites
  • Becker Luncheon 11:30 a.m. May 18 — Wines poured at this year’s luncheon will be from Becker Vineyards, Lost Oak Winery, Llano Estacado, Haak Vineyards and more. With food from Geronimo Lopez, Botika; David Yokuty, Tribeca 212; Lisa Astorga Watel, Bite; and Stephanie Norcio, Supper at Hotel Emma.
