SAN ANTONIO -- It’s a massive search party that came together in just one day — family, friends, and people just wanting to help joined forces to find a trace of 47-year-old Scott Mayer.

  • Scott Mayer has been missing since May 2
  • Six search groups deployed Wednesday
  • Mayer has a wife and three daughters

The NEISD employee and youth baseball coach has been missing since last Wednesday. The area around Spring Branch is the last place authorities were able to PIN his location.

“There is nothing. This man is the most put together man. He’s a Christian man. He has two loves of life, family and his baseball. He’s all into baseball," said his brother, Jeff Mayer.

Around noon Wednesday, six different groups took off in six different directions all along Texas State Highway 46 surrounding Spring Branch. Groups made their way on foot and on four-wheelers. There was also a helicopter, two planes, drones, and dogs.

There was even a group asking to review business surveillance video.

They aren’t only looking for traces of Scott Mayer, but also his vehicle - a grey 2010 Ford Escape with Johnson HS swimming and Texas Longhorns decals. Along with being an employee of Johnson high school, he also founded the South Texas Sliders youth baseball program.

“We’re actually quite alike. He’s a great guy. Hard worker. Like I said he’s all about family and that South Texas Slider baseball organization," Jeff Mayer said.

More than 250 people joined in the search. Scott Mayer has a wife and three daughters.
