SAN ANTONIO – An 18-year-old has been accused of trafficking minors into prostitution in San Antonio.

Brianna Starkes was identified by victims of sex trafficking for her role in the prostitution ring.

San Antonio police said Starkes helped two men promote, recruit, and entice minors into working as prostitutes for their pimps.

A warrant was obtained by the Special Victim’s Unit. On Tuesday night, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Starkes. She is facing charges for trafficking a minor.

The number of human trafficking victims has been increasing across Texas, according to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. In 2017, there were a total of 804 human trafficking cases in Texas.
