HOUSTON — Former First Lady Barbara Bush has her name on many different schools, libraries, plazas — and even a pizza.

Fuzzy Hejjar and his wife Rita, own Fuzzy’s Pizza in Houston and named one of their pies after the first lady. It's topped with chicken, spinach, mushrooms, artichokes, garlic, red sauce and mozzarella cheese.

The Bush’s were frequent customers and good friends of the Hejjar's. Over the last 25 years the two families created more than a new pizza recipe, they formed a real friendship. Here in the room dedicated to the Bush family, the Hejjar’s remember the fond memories that came from it.

“It was just about love, when they came in the door, they hugged me, they hugged Fuzzy, it’s just like your close relative is coming to see you,” Rita said.

In the days following her passing, the Barbara Bush Pizza has been a bestseller at Fuzzy’s.

“To us it doesn’t matter how many pizzas we sell,” Fuzzy said. “It just is an amazing feeling that we’re doing something to celebrate Mrs. Barbara.”
