BEXAR COUNTY, Texas -- The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in locating two women who scammed an elderly victim out of cash.

The department said that on March 15 of this year, an elderly woman was approached by a woman at an undisclosed Northwest Bexar County grocery store.

The woman convinced the elderly victim that she had won the lottery and needed help obtaining her winnings as well as a ride to the lottery office.

A female accomplice posing as a shopper assisted in conning the victim. The victim was convinced to withdraw money which the two women later stole from her purse.

The office furnished surveillance stills of the first woman involved. The accomplice was described as a Hispanic woman in her 40s. She has a heavy build.
