TEXAS CITY, Texas — Fire crews rushed to extinguish a fire that was caused by an explosion at the facility in southeast Texas Thursday evening. 

The explosion happened at a Valero facility n Texas City in Galveston County a little before 5 p.m.

Valero confirms that all personnel are accounted for. There are no injuries or fatalities from this incident.

Around 6:30 p.m., the City of Texas said the fire was contained and that fire crews will continue to be onsite until fully extinguished.
