SAN ANTONIO -- The head of a local model and talent agency, Cindy Twedt , grew her business from Texas to California, and is now expanding again to London.

Twedt is used to being in the limelight and teaches others to command that same attention. She is the owner of Entourage Model & Talent Agency.

"We cover San Antonio, we have an agency in Austin. We have a Los Angeles division," said Twedt.

There are no signs of slowing down.

"We have the strongest baby division in the entire state of Texas," she said.

The entrepreneur opened her own model and talent agency 30 years ago in Austin, before expanding to San Antonio and then L.A. She's represented hundreds and helped her clients land big contracts.

"Our clients are like Adidas, Nike, Walmart," Twedt said.

Now, she's taking her talent worldwide.

"They will hire a couple of the Entourage girls to walk London Fashion Week and we can launch Entourage during London Fashion Week," she said.

It's a dream come true, but not without hard work. Over the years she has learned the modeling industry is about more than making connections. For Twedt, it's been about protecting those who put their dreams in her hands.

"We are very protective over the talent, the people we represent," she said. "The last thing we want them to worry about is oh, where is my daughter's photo going to show up at?"

But Twedt said the changes she has seen over the last 30 years are encouraging. Recent movements in Hollywood are shedding light on some of the darkest realities in an industry where women are frequently victimized.

"I've definitely seen changes in the industry," she said. "I think now people are more aware. And not only are people more aware, the talent, the talent of the younger girls, the kids, everybody is much more aware now.”

Twedt said it is a step in the right direction.

"I've never come down from the high from the beginning. I am just as excited and jazzed and aggressive in the industry now as in 1988," she said.
