A series of three overnight shootings in the San Antonio area have left three dead and two injured. 

One man in critical condition after being shot in hotel room

Police were called to a northeast side hotel around 11:05 p.m. Saturday.

According to authorities, a couple was in their hotel room at the Baymont Inn, 9542 IH 10 West, when another male came to the room and the girlfriend walked outside the room so her boyfriend could talk him.

A short time later, the two began to argue and shots were fired. The male ran outside and left the scene, leaving the boyfriend shot in the chest. The girlfriend walked inside the room and found her boyfriend clinging for life. She called EMS who took the victim to University Hospital in critical condition. The suspect is still at large.

Man dead at gathering at Atascosa Co. home

According to Atascosa Co. detectives, one man is dead after being shot at a gathering at the home.

Police were called to the scene around 2:45 a.m. Sunday for shots fired on the 300 block of Encino Drive in Atascosa County where a man was found shot to death at the scene.

Detectives have multiple witnesses that are being questioned and don't believe this was family disturbance. The suspect is still on the loose.

Woman shot to death, suspect wounded by BCSO deputy dies

A woman is dead and the suspect believed to have fatally shot her is also dead by police fire.

According to Bexar Co. Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene at 505 Highway E 1604 around 5:15 a.m. Sunday. A female victim in her 50s was found shot twice in the neck and chest, and died on her way to the hospital.

BCSO Sheriff Javier Salazar said a male suspect, in his 30s, fled the scene and was pursued by police. He was eventually found with a weapon in a wooded area. When ordered to drop his weapon, he refused to comply and a deputy shot him once in the chest. He later sucuumbed to that gunshot wound. 

Two deputies were involved in this incident — a 5-year veteran and an 8-year veteran — who will both be placed on routine administrative leave.
