SAN ANTONIO -- Some familiar faces came together to give kids the gift of a good night's rest.

The AT&T center was jumping with excitement upstairs, but on the Spurs court downstairs, it was a much more relaxed scene.

Then, 50 kids found out that a floor full of gifts was all for them.

Ashley HomeStore teamed up with the San Antonio Spurs for the Hope to Dream project, giving away 50 beds complete with mattresses and linens to kids who have never had a bed of their own.

"They're on the floor, they're on a pallet, sometime they're with a parent or a sibling and they're sharing a small bed," said Jeff Magner of Ashley HomeStores.

The goal is to give children a better night's sleep, something parents and grandparents say can be a challenge on a tight budget.

"All the statistics will tell you that if you don't get a good night's sleep as a child especially its going to affect your performance the next day in schools and athletics," said Magner.

Ashley HomeStore has delivered 50,000 free beds to kids in need over the last seven years.

"I was crying all the way here. Just being thankful and grateful and appreciating this," said Diane Flores.

Grandparents like Flores know the difference this bed will make.

"I think they'll do better in school. They were on airbeds and so it was hard for them," she said.

It was a gift of comfort to allow them to dream.
