SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead after he was shot in the head overnight on Thursday.

Around 2:14 a.m. in a parking lot on the 11070 block of East US Highway 87 the victim started arguing with another person.

The victim was attempting to leave the parking lot when the suspect blocked his way. At some point during the fight, the victim was shot in the head.

The suspect fled the scene.

The victim was declared dead at a nearby hospital.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
