A witness told police they went outside to investigate after they heard shots fired. Delgado was seen leaving the house claiming someone was trying to break in, but at that time no one was injured.

Delgado was then seen running out of the house with his 14-year-old son, who had been shot.

Investigators found possible narcotics, three handguns, an AR-15 rifle, and a shotgun inside the home. Additionally, shell casings from the rifle and the handgun were found through the inside of the house.
