SAN ANTONIO -- Hundreds marched through the city's west side to memorialize the legacy of a labor leader.

It was all part of the annual Cesar E. Chavez March for Justice.

Chavez is best known for demanding better working conditions for American farm workers. His grandson, Andres P Chavez, served as this year's grand marshal. Community leaders along with several organizations participated in the march.

"We all come from different backgrounds but it's about showing the unity with not only culture but to show the rest of the world that we are all here to show unity together,” said participant Francisco Saucedo Jr.

This is the first year without march organizer Jaime Martinez. He died last year after battling cancer.
