SCHERTZ, Texas — Investigators are continuing the search of a FedEx distribution center Wednesday.

Federal, state and local authorities continue to process the scene inside and outside the facility.

Law enforcement confirms the package blast that happened Tuesday is connected to the four previous package explosions that happened between March 2 and March 18 in Austin.

The package came from the South Austin FedEx location on Brodie Lane - to be delivered to an address in Austin. The package ended up in Schertz FedEx sorting center where it exploded on a conveyor track when it was hit by a metal arm in the sorting area of the facility.

Only one of the 75 employees in the facility was hurt. That worker was treated on scene and released.

Officials continue to urge the public to remain vigilant. Anyone who notices anything suspicious or out of place should call police.
